Community Bible Study

SCOTTSDALE EVE - AZ

SCOTTSDALE EVE - AZ

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Co-Ed Class
MON at 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Currently Studying: Colossians, Revelation, James

OUR STUDY THIS YEAR WILL BE ONLINE ONLY USING THE ZOOM PLATFORM. The online approach allows us to focus on God's Word without worrying about traffic, driving after dark or bad weather.

We will begin Monday September 12 with a six week study of Colossians. Paul wrote this letter while under house arrest in Rome to warn the church against destructive teaching. While it is not fully clear what this entailed the study will help you identify and avoid the same problem today.

We will follow that up with a six week study of James. This is a book Martin Luther was critical of and questioned whether it should even be in the Bible. He thought it contradicted the writing of Paul, that it opposed the doctrine that salvation comes through faith alone.

Then comes the new year and our study of Revelation, a book that has fascinated and frightened people since it was written. (Including the man who wrote it.) As you study you can decide - what do the symbols mean, when will it take place, what is millenial, what is pre-trib or post trib? Don't miss this study.
